Superstition

Dark of night
When witches run
When all the ghouls
Come out for fun

Rabbit?s foot
And lucky shirt
Protection from
Misfortune?s hurt

Halloween
And the 13th Friday
When all bad luck
Comes out to play

Superstition
And silly fears
Hold your garlic
As darkness nears

A black cat
A broken mirror
Cursed you are now
For many a year

Our silly worries
of the Night
Chased by our shadows
Running in fright

The darkness laughs
At our concern
The light ponders
Will we ever learn?
